Sacramento-born Ponce starts again for Chivas

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Sacramento-born Miguel Ponce started for Guadalajara in both legs of its Libertadores Cup second-round series with Velez Sarsfield, his first two appearances in the South American club championship.

Chivas lost, 2-0, on Tuesday but advanced to the quarterfinals, 3-2, on aggregate.

Ponce, a defender, debuted for Guadalajara at the end of the regular season and also played for it in the first leg of its Torneo Bicentenario quarterfinal series against Morelia.
