A referee in a Crotian fifth division game yellow-carded Mladost FC’s 32-year-old defender Goran Tunjic for diving only to discover that he had suffered a heart attack. The refereequickly realized what happened and called for medical aid, but Tunjic died despite being rushed to a nearby hospital.
“Doctors tried to help him but there was nothing they could do,” aclub spokesman said.
