Maradona overlooks Inter pair

[ARGENTINA] Coach Diego Maradona called up Diego Milito and Walter Samuel but their was no room for their Inter Milan teammates, Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso, in Argentina's 30-player provisional roster for the World Cup.

Zanetti and Cambiasso, along with Samuel, had been part of the Inter defense that shut down Argentine star Lionel Messi in Inter's victory over Barcelona in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Martin Palermo, who could play in his first World Cup at the age of 36, was one of 10 players based in Argentina to make the short list.
