All six forwards have certain positives...the ultimate selections should be the pair thaty best suits one another and can deliver when the opportunity knocks. IMO, Buddle and Altidore are the best pairing; Findley and Ching are second best.

The only one I would for sure eliminate is Findley. He's not ready yet! I like Buddle a lot. He will play well with Donovan. And Altidore always plays well with the USMNT. I like to see Gomez play against the Czechs & Turkey. If he looks good in those games, then I would pick him without a doubt. Not to high on Ching or E.J. I'm hoping Davies is good enough to go.

Altidore played well at Confederations Cup and has looked good most of the time with Hull. Buddle and Gomez in very good form at the moment. Ching should make a good holding forward late in games with lead. Forget the others.

Forget about Eddie. Findley, maybe. There has to be more in a country of 300 million. keep looking. Altidore and Buddle can play off of Donovan well. Hercules deserves a chance.

Hey Ric, Ching is too old to prepare for 2014. He most likely will be retired by then. Hell, he's almost to old to play in this one. He's injury prone and not that good. McBride at his age right now, is probably better than Ching.
