Sacha Kljestan is finally headed to Europe

[AMERICANS ABROAD] U.S. international Sacha Kljestan has joined Belgian champion Anderlecht from Chivas USA on a four-year deal.

The 24-year-old Kljestan was a candidate for the U.S. World Cup team but did not make the 23-man squad.

He signed with Chivas USA out of Seton Hall in 2006 when he was a finalist for the MLS Rookie of the Year award.

Can you add the players' ages as standarded reporting practice when you report on their status'. Thanks.

Yeah, we never heard from the last American to sign with a big Belgian club. What was his name?
    Oh, yeah, Oguchi Onyewu.

Despite what "El Portugues" has to say, we will miss you Sascha, you brought some good times to the HDC for Chivas LA and given that Tecnico Vasquez's style appears to be one of defeat and poor performance (in stark contrast to Preki's solid record at least during the regular season) it looks like the timing of the move to Europe is a great one in terms of professional development and the chance to earn real money.
