Crew and Chivas USA move into semis

[U.S. OPEN CUP] The Columbus Crew eliminated USL-2's Charleston Battery, one of two non-MLS teams left in the U.S. Open Cup, with a 3-0 win. Chivas USA also advanced with a 3-1 win at the Houston Dynamo on Tuesday.

Steven Lenhart scored one goal and drew a penalty that led to a second goal for the Crew, which will meet the winner of the D.C. United-Harrisburg City Islanders game in the semifinals.

Justin Braun scored two goals for Chivas USA, which won for the first time in 10 games at Houston.

Chivas USA will face the winner of Wednesday's game between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Seattle Sounders in the other semifinal.
