Leroux nets hat trick as USA romps

[UNDER-20 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP] The USA got a hat trick from star Sydney Leroux to crush Switzerland and gain its first win at the Under-20 Women's World Cup in Germany on Saturday.

Kristie Mewis and Zakiya Bywaters also scored for the Americans, who led, 3-0, after 25 minutes.

Leroux's hat trick gives her four goals in two games and nine in two Under-20 World Cups.

The USA closes out group play against South Korea on Wednesday in Bielefeld.

The Koreans, who beat Ghana, 4-2, host Germany and North Korea are the only teams to win their first two games.

    So we will see Wednesday whether the Americans (a) use Teresa Noyola and (b)advance.
