A player rating index that purported to show how England manager Fabio Capello ranked and rated players has been ordered shut down by the England FA.
The index had beenactivated on a Web site Saturday and triggered a firestorm of controversy, with Capello admitting he’d agreed to work with the company compiling the index but had not approved the material prior toits posting.
This adds another intriguing twist to the tenure of Capello, retained by the FA for the next two years, which is how long his contract runs.
