Capello sticks with old guard

[ENGLAND] Those fans looking for a housecleaning after England's poor showing after the World Cup will be disappointed. Most of the usual suspects have been called up for England's friendly against Hungary at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.

Except in goal, where both World Cup keepers Robert Green and David James weren't called up and Paul Robinson retired, Coach Fabio Capello largely stuck with the players he's worked with for the last two y ears.

Besides James, the only starters from England's 4-2 loss to Germany in the round of 16 whom Capello didn't pick were defender Matthew Upson and forward Jermain Defoe.

The lone uncapped players among the initial call-ups were Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere and Bobby Zamora of Fulham.

Capello has slim pickings to choose from in the Premier League, where less than 40 percent of players are eligible to play for England.

Under-21 goalies Scott Loach and Frankie Fielding were last-minute replacements, but Capello didn't even bother to watch the England team that reached the semifinals of the recent UEFA U-19 championship in France.

England roster:
Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Man. City),  Scott Loach (Watford), Frankie Fielding (Blackburn).
Defenders: Wes Brown (Man. Utd.), Gary Cahill (Bolton Wanderers). Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Michael Dawson (Tottenham), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), John Terry (Chelsea).
Midfielders: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Gareth Barry (Man. City), Adam Johnson (Man City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Aston Villa), Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).
Forwards: Carlton Cole (West Ham), Wayne Rooney (Man. Utd.), Bobby Zamora (Fulham), Darren Bent (Sunderland)
