Hangeland makes up for own goal

It's rare a defender earns redemption for an own goal, but Texas-born Norwegian international Brede Hangeland did just that, scoring the tying goal in Fulham's wild 2-2 tie with Manchester United in the 89th minute, five minutes after his own goal had given United the lead.

"I looked at the clock straight after I scored the own goal and saw we had five minutes to do it," Hangeland said. "I just hoped we'd get a corner and we did and I scored. It was a great feeling to get it."

Hangeland scored on a header off Damien Duff's corner that beat Edwin Van der Sar and earned the Cottagers a point.
