U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati and U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley are expected to meet on Thursday to
discuss Bradley's future as national team coach.
Grant Wahl says the conventional wisdom is that Bradley will not return. Problem is, a successor does
not appear to be line.
One of the key issues is whether Bradley will do better the second time around than the first. Wahl goes back and examines the record of coaches who coached the
same team in back-to-back World Cups.
Of the 48 times it's happened, they did worse 25 times, did better 13 times and did the same -- exited in the same round -- 10 times. That record
does not take into account coaches who failed to qualify the same team the second time around.
