[MILESTONES] Tim Alexander became just the fifth coach to win 200 games at both the NCAA men’s and women’s levels whenDivision III Edgewood defeated Illinois College, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon.

Senior forward Greg Dezell scored one goal and set up the other two asthe Eagles scored three times in a 20-minute span in the second half to rally from a one-goal deficit.

Other coaches in the 200-200 club are AndySmyth of Findlay, Pepe Fernandez of Maryville (Tenn.) and Doug Mello of Hendrix, who all are still active coaches, and the late Clive Charles, the legendary Portland coach.

Alexander is the only coach either Edgewood team has ever had, compiling a 200-164-29 mark in 21 seasons with the men and a 232-98-19 record in the 18-year history of the women’s program.
