[SAN DIEGO STATE MEN] While the comeback bid of his brother, U.S. national team Charlie Davies, was halted because of a
red card in the French fifth division, Justin Davies celebrated scoring his first collegiate goal in three seasons Friday afternoon in San Diego State's 1-0 win
over Air Force at the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Tournament.
Davies followed his own shot for a tap-in goal in the 77th minute after his first attempt was stopped by Falcon goalkeeper Matt Underwood.
Davies' six shots against Air Force were double the number of shots he had all last season when he earned all-Pac-10 honorable mention.
Two days later, Davies scored a goal and an assist as the Aztecs beat Oakland, 4-1, to improve to 3-1-0.
Charlie Davies was red carded for what was described as a "bizarre" decision in the Sochaux B team's 3-0 win at Louhans-Cuiseaux on Aug. 28.
