The two Koreas set the pace

[UNDER-17 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP] South Korea and North Korea moved into the semifinals of the Under-17 Women's World Cup in Trinidad & Tobago with memorable
victories. South Korea, which meets Spain in Tuesday's semifinals, beat Nigeria in a 6-5 overtime donnybrook that saw Yeo Min Ji score four goals. North Korea,
which faces Japan in the other semifinal, earned a 1-0 shutout victory over Germany, which had scored 22 goals in its first three games.
South Korea came back from 2-0 down after three
minutes and went ahead for the first time in the 89th minute on Yeo's third goal of the game, but Nigeria made it 4-4 on Ngozi Okobi's goal one minute into
stoppage time.
Yeo's fourth goal -- her seventh of the tournament -- made it 6-4 in the 98th minute and proved to be the difference as Loveth Ayila
reduced South Korea's lead six minutes later.
Kim Kum Jong's goal from 35 yards on the stroke of halftime was all North Korea needed against
Germany, which had a 16-5 edge in shots.
Spain, the European champion, and Japan completed the final four with 2-1 wins over Brazil and Ireland, respectively.
