Japanese attacker lives up to boasts in Germany

Shinji Kagawa, the 21-year-old offensive midfielder who joined Germany's Borussia Dortmund from Japan's second division, said before last weekend's clash with Schalke 04: "We will win and I will score two goals."

Dortmund won 3-1 against its Ruhr rival and Kagawa struck twice.

Kagawa, who was not part of Japan's 2010 World Cup squad, was purchased by Dortmund for $450,000. He has scored three league goals and hit the net in Europa League play.
