Neil rescues Golden Hurricane with golden goal

[TULSA-MISSOURI STATE] Austin Neil's seventh goal of the season gave No. 3 Tulsa a 2-1 comeback win over Missouri State that improved the Golden Hurricane's record to 6-0-0 heading into Friday's match at No. 1 Akron (TV: Fox Soccer Channel, live, 7 p.m.).

“We knew this game was going to be a tough game, but we battled it out for the win,” Tulsa coach Tom McIntosh said.  “We will start to prepare for Akron tomorrow.  Obviously, it is going to be difficult game, but one we are looking forward to.  We are going to get rested first and foremost, as this game was a very physical contest and it is a quick turnaround.  We will work out our tactics over the next several days and get ourselves ready to go against Akron.”

Missouri State went ahead in the 14th minute when Edin Sabic launched a free kick from the midfield line over goalie Ray Clark. Austrian Adrian Klammer got the game-equalizer in the 74th minute when he knocked in a cross from Matt Boullt.
