Brazil’s Santos may have gotten more than it bargained for when it blocked the move of 18-year-old star Neymar to Chelsea.

Neymar was suspendedfor cursing at Santos coach Dorival Junior and his teammates in a Brazilian league game, and now Junior has been fired for not reinstating Neymar.

Junior first indicated that he’d reinstate Neymar, but he changed his mind and said wouldn’t play in its derby match against Corinthians on Wednesday. Junior was fired, Neymar played and scored, butSantos lost, 3-2.

Junior shouldn’t be out of work for a long time. According to media reports, he will take the coaching job at Sao Paulo.

  3. Santos is the club of Pelé, won 2 World Championships, numerous South American and Brasilian championships, was the first club in the world to hit 10,000 goals. Santos is world-renowned to anyone who knows world soccer. Neymar has never been associated with Santos Laguna. Santos Laguna should be identified as Santos Laguna, and Santos should remain, as it has, for nearly a century now, Santos.
