Red Bulls take aim at Galaxy

Though neither team fielded its best lineup, New York's convincing 2-0 vanquishing of the Galaxy Friday night at Home Depot Center clouded somewhat the question of which is the better team.

"It is all of our faults,” said Landon Donovan after the Red Bulls, missing Thierry Henry, came out on top with goals by Dane Richards and Juan Pablo Angel.

The visitors, without a point against the top teams in MLS, treated the game with far more urgency and importance than LA, shorn of central defenders Omar Gonzalez and Gregg Berhalter.

“They are the most famous team in the league, but we want to head that way,” said Red Bulls midfielder Joel Lindpere. “We know there is a good chance we could meet them again in the playoffs. If we play like this again, the result will be the same."
