President knees opponent in groin

[OFF THE POST] Bolivia President Evo Morales, during a soccer game against political rivals, kneed an opponent in the groin in apparent retaliation for a foul that left a laceration on the inside of Morales' right leg. The incident was broadcast by Bolivian TV on Monday.

Morales' team was playing against a squad led by La Paz Mayor Luis Revilla, who ran against the president earlier this year despite once having been his ally.

Morales was not red-carded in the 4-4 game in which two players from each side were ejected.

According to AP, Revilla prevented members of Morales' security forces from arresting, Daniel Gustavo Cartagena, the player who went down from the crotch kick. Morales denied ordering Cartagena's arrest.

Why are they staging this game in the first place? Someone help a baffled American - is this like Obama clotheslining Leiberman as he drives to the hoop?

This gives new meaning to the expression "Ballin' out of control" perhaps?
