Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson piloted the Liverpool’s plane to Napoli for Thursday’s Europa League game against the Italian club.
“Liverpool arean amazing club,” said the licensed pilot. “I hope they do well.”
Liverpool, which has won only one Premier League game this season, is resting StevenGerrard and Fernando Torres. That prompted the Guardian to quip, “It said everything about the paucity of the squad (that) the most famous person on board was thepilot.”
