Bulldogs make statement

[INDIANA-BUTLER MEN] Any doubts about Butler's strength were put to rest on Wednesday as the unbeaten Bulldogs crushed Big Ten leader Indiana, 4-1, in Bloomington to gain revenge for their loss to the Hoosiers in last year's NCAA Tournament.

Butler wasted little time jumping on the Hoosiers as freshman Austin Oldham gathered the ball off a bad pass from goalkeeper Luis Soffner and scored in the 15th minute.

Senior Jacob Capito then made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute with a shot from 30 yards out to the top left corner of the net, and sophomore Tyler Pollock completed the rout with a pair of goals.

Pollock's first goal from 15 yards out after taking a pass from freshman Adekunle Oluyedun gave the Bulldogs a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.  He then launched a shot from 20 yards out with 15 minutes remaining in the game.

Indiana's only goal came in the 54th minute on Will Bruin's 13th goal of the season.
