Nigeria has named Samson Siasia as the its new coach on a four-year contract. Siasia, who was picked in favor of Stephen Keshi, has been successful with the
Nigeria's U-20 team and Olympic team (U-23) in 2005-2009.
Siasia coached youth soccer in the U.S. state of Georgia from 2000 to 2004.
The 43-year-old former striker who played 46 times for Nigeria in 1984-98, will start his new job on Dec. 1 with his immediate task being to qualify Nigeria to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Libya.
