Baudet traded less than 24 hours after winning title

[MLS] Frenchman Julien Baudet was involved in a three-player trade less than 24 hours after playing for the Colorado Rapids in their 2-1 overtime win over FC Dallas in MLS Cup 2010.

The Rapids sent Baudet and fellow defender Danny Earls to Seattle for midfielder Peter Vagenas.

Baudet, 31, played two seasons for the Rapids, making 28 regular-season appearances with 23 starts. He came off the bench for Anthony Wallace to play the entire 30 minutes of overtime Sunday in Toronto.

Earls, 21, started 15 games as a rookie in Colorado. The former Ireland youth international came to America in 2008 to play for the Rochester Rhinos of USL-1.

An 11-year MLS veteran, Vagenas helped Sounders FC win its first trophy, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, in 2009. He ended the 2010 season on the disabled list with a quadriceps strain.
