The victim of the slap from the 39-year-old woman was a 30-year-old male referee, whose face was reddened and his lip bloodied.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the ref didn’t stop play because the other team was in possession – and waited until the ball went out of bounds.
The girl recovered from the fall.
The mother reportedly had a disagreement with the same ref the day before during another of her daughter’s games in the weekend tournament.
