[OHIO STATE-GEORGETOWN WOMEN] Ohio State moved into the final four of the NCAA Division I Women’s Tournament for the first time with a 2-0 win overGeorgetown.

The Buckeyes’ Lauren Beachy scored her first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the first half and Tiffany Cameron added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute on her seventh goal of the season on a cold and windy night at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

“All year we havetried to focus on what we have control over and the team positioned themselves really well early on,” OSU coach Lori Walker said. “We have been able to stayfresh for postseason play, the effort has been tremendous and when we’ve needed players to step up, they have.”

Ohio State had a 17-8 advantage in shots. Ingrid Well had the Hoyas’ bestchance of the game with just under five minutes remaining when she drilled a shot from 25 yards out just wide of the goal.

“It’s disappointing right now because you get sofar, you want to keep moving one step further,” Georgetown coach Dave Nolan said.  “I don’t have any qualms. I thought Ohio State wasbetter tonight and at the right moment, they got the first goal, which got us on our heels, and in the second half, before we really had a chance to get them under pressure with the wind in our favor, they got the second goal and it was always up-hill after that.
