FSC to air World Cup announcement special

[TELEVISION GUIDE] The World Cup 2018 and 2022 host announcement will be made on Thursday at around 10 a.m. ET from Zurich, where the FIFA executive committee will vote.

Fox Soccer Channel will air "Decision Day 2022: A Fox Soccer Report Special" beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Alan Rothenberg, head of the 1994 World Cup organizing committee and former president of U.S. Soccer, will be among those on hand to provide analysis. Curt Menefee, host of Fox NFL Sunday, and former U.S. World Cup players Eric Wynalda and Cobi Jones, will also be in the FSC studios. Fox Deportes will air a one-hour edition of Diario Fox Sports on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

ESPN, ESPN Deportes, Univision and CNN International will also provide live coverage of the announcement of the two hosts by FIFA President Sepp Blatter from the Messe Zurich in Switzerland.
