Lee makes it three in a row

[NAIA WOMEN] Lee  captured its third straight NAIA women’s championship with a 3-0 win over Hastings in Saturday's final in Decatur, Ala.

“To be honest, I don think that words can express how this feels,” Lee coach Matt Yelton said. “This is a special group; these girls are just amazing. Of the three that we have won, this was the toughest and it is very special for me. Our half of the bracket was extremely tough and to make it out on top and hold the national championship trophy really is an accomplishment.”

Freshman Danielle Ciabattone put Lee ahead late in the first half, Samantha Hare added her third goal of the national tournament in the 64th minute and freshman Ode Fulutudilu added an insurance goal 20 minutes later.
