Sundhage is finalist for Women's World Coach of the Year

[AWARDS] U.S. women’s national team head coach Pia Sundhage has been named a finalist for the new FIFA Women’s World Coach of the Year award.

German national team coach Silvia Neid and under-20 coach Maren Meinert are the other finalists for the women's award, which will be announced at the first FIFA Ballon d’Or gala as part of a televised ceremony at the Zurich Kongresshaus on Jan. 10.

The finalists for the Men’s World Coach of the Year are Spain coach Vicente del Bosque, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho.

    Guardiola evidently has FIFA heavyweight Qatar's support.
