Spain captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas said Germany is the only real threat to Spain's dominance.
“The only team I am scared of and I’ve got respect for
is Germany,” said Real Madrid goalkeeper Casillas, who helped Spain win the 2008 European Championship and 2010 World Cup. "I like Germany a lot. At the last World Cup, Germany were my
favorites.
“They are European rivals, they are young, they have got great players. I think they are going to set the standard for soccer at international level in a couple of years,
when Spain is probably not up there at the top."
Germany, with a team whose average age was under 25, finished third place in the World Cup in South Africa last summer.
