Americans fall to France in Tel Aviv

[U.S. U-18 MEN] The U.S. U-18 men's national team fell to France, 3-0, in its opening game at a four-team tournament in Tel Aviv.

The Americans will face Israel on Thursday and conclude the tournament with a game against Germany, a 7-0 winner over Israel, on Friday.

The Bleuets got goals from Lille's Jeremy Obin, Lens midfielder Geoffrey Konodogbia and Lyon's Alassane Plea and finished with an 11-3 edge in shots.

The U.S. team consists mostly of high school players who compete in the Development Academy. The only pros are Juan Pablo Ocegueda of Mexican club Tigres and the Chicago Fire's Victor Pineda.
