Gyau and Gatt run wild against Canada

[U.S. UNDER-20 MEN] The U.S. under-20 national team got three goals from Joseph Gyau of German club Hoffenheim and two from Josh Gatt of Austrian club SCR Altach in its 5-0 win over Canada to conclude its final training camp of the year.

Gyau made his first appearance with the U-20s after leaving the U-17s after 2009 Concacaf qualifying. He signed with Hoffenheim and spent time in the Vancouver Whitecaps residency program before moving to Germany.

Gatt, who assisted on all three Gyau goals, joined Altach this fall and scored four goals in the first half of the 2010-11 Austrian Bundesliga 2 season.

Two days earlier, Michigan freshman Soony Saad and the Philadelphia Union's Jack McInerney scored in a 2-0 win over Canada.

Along with Gyau, Gatt, Saad and McInerney, U.S. U-20 coach Thomas Rongen has New York Red Bulls forward Juan Agudelo, Conor Doyle of English club Derby County and Mexican-Americans Adrian Ruelas and Omar Salgado to choose from up front.
