January not kind to Holden's Bolton

[AMERICANS ABROAD] In its worst setback of the season, Stuart Holden's Bolton Wanderers slumped to a 4-0 loss to visiting Chelsea and fell to 10th place in the English Premier League.

Holden had an active first 10 minutes for Bolton, but everything was downhill after a magnificent goal by Didier Drogba for Chelsea in the 11th minute.

The Blues added goals by Frenchmen Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka and Brazilian Ramires to coast to an easy win at the Reebok Stadium and close the gap with first-place Manchester United to seven points.

Holden mis-fired on a good opportunity in the 2nd minute and missed again with six minutes to play for Bolton, which has lost twice to Chelsea in the last month and has just one point in its five EPL games played since a Boxing Day win over West Bromwich.
