Golden Bears reload with deep class

[CALIFORNIA MEN] Replacing five seniors who went in the MLS SuperDraft and junior goalie David Bingham, who went to the San Jose Earthquakes in a lottery, is a daunting task for 2010 NCAA Division I quarterfinalist California, but Golden Bears coach Kevin Grimes has landed a deep recruiting class, led by  midfielder Connor Hallisey, who recently returned from a trip to Israel with the U.S. under-18 national team.

Stefano Bonomo, Seth Casiple, Christian Dean, Omid Jalali, Max Oldham, Christopher Rawji and Yuzo "Bobby" Sekine are also joining a Cal program that produced arguably its best season ever last fall.

Like Hallisey, Casiple has also trained with the U.S. U-18s and plays for the California Development Academy.

Three of the newcomers play for the De Anza Force, and the other three (Jalali, Rawji and Sekine) play for the Irvine Strikers.
