Jean-Bart said team members were placed in quarantine and armed guards "blocked the exit." Haiti was forced to withdraw from the competition. On Saturday, thousands of Haitians took part in a three-hour protest march in Port-au-Prince demonstrating against what they called Jamaica's discriminatory and humiliating treatment of the Haitian team.
