Edu lifts Rangers to series win with dramatic goal

[AMERICANS ABROAD] American Maurice Edu has scored a lot of dramatic goals for Rangers but perhaps none as big as the stoppage-time goal that earned the Scottish champion a 2-2 tie at Sporting Lisbon and the series victory in the Europa League's round of 32 on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate final score.

Edu was one of three Rangers players in the box as David Healy's cross came through, and the American pushed the ball home for the goal that sets up a date with PSV in the next round.

Oguchi Onyewu started for FC Twente in its 2-2 tie with Rubin Kazan in Enschede that was enough to send the Dutch champion through to the final 16 with a 4-2 aggregate win.
