Let's hope this doesn't start a trend

[VIDEO PICK] Bryan Carrasco of Chile's U-20 national team figured out a way to get a free kick in a manner we've never seen before.
During Chile's 1-0 loss in the third-place game of South America's U-20 championship, Carrasco slapped himself with the hand of Ecuador's Edson Montano -- and got the all.
They better suspend the punk for his next CONMEBOL tournament. At least a game or two. It's just like in 2004 when Raul grabbed a Valencia's player and dragged him down, but he did it in a way that looked like the Valencia player did it. Got Real Madrid a vital point and from what I remember they went on to overtake Valencia for La Liga.
It was really funny too because my Swedish friend in the Madrid bar had just shown me the same move before the game started telling me how his father would do this arm pulling move when he played Bandy professionally. It was a little too surreal.
Very funny video, but the offending player should be punished severely. Referees have a hard enough time seeing fouls without players creating self-inflicted fouls and blaming them on their opponents.
Hilairous. But so so dirty. This is just screaming for retroactive punishment.
CONMEBOL tends to be very forgiving. Don't expect meaningful punishment.
It's a disgrace. Carrasco should be banned from representing the national team for the next tournament, or for a certain period -- and some sanction applied to national organization, whether suspension from participation in an upcoming tournament, or the like. Nothing will put an end to such nonsense as the pressure that will arise when behavior of this sort hurts the whole team, and not just the player who does it.
And it's easy to see how something that happens so fast can fool the referee. It's hard to distinguish a fake like this, from an instance where a player whose wrist is *gripped* lashes out, dragging along the hand that's grasping his arm. Of course, with the benefit of replays, we can see how Carrasco is *already* wincing BEFORE he has really started moving Montano's hand toward his face -- look at the "frames" at about 0:23, 0:29, 0:32, 0:37, 0:47, and 0:48.
