[CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] Real Salt Lake will face Saprissa -- a frequent and not so friendly foe of MLS teams -- in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions
League following the Costa Rican club's series victory over Olimpia of Honduras.
Armando Alonso and Luis Diego Cordero scored to give Saprissa a 2-1 victory over Olimpia in Tegucigalpa and go through 3-1 on aggregate.
Real Salt Lake will host Saprissa in the first leg on March 15 -- the same day as the MLS opener between Seattle and Los Angeles. The second leg will be played on April 5 in San Jose.
Saprissa plays at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa, where Costa Rica has dominated the USA in World Cup qualifying action.
Saprissa eliminated MLS clubs from the knockout stage of the old Concacaf Champions Cup four times and has lost only two of 14 games to MLS teams
