Messi leads young team picked for U.S. friendly

[ARGENTINA] Barcelona star Lionel Messi headlines the Argentina roster for its match against the United States March 26 at the New Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Young attacking talents such as Javier Pastore (Palermo), Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid), Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica) and Eduardo Salvio (Benfica) were also called up, while Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero have been left off the squad.

Coach Sergio Batista is preparing for the Copa America Argentina will host this summer.

After playing the USA, Argentina will face Costa Rica three says later in San Jose.

    We know what you mean, but it's called "New Meadowlands Stadium". The Jets and Giants co-own it equally.
