Arsenal is close to signing 41-year-old Jens Lehmann for the rest of the season. Injuries to keepers Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and
Vito Mannone have left Manuel Almunia as the only fit keeper.
Former German international Lehmann played 199 times for Arsenal in 2003-08 but has been a free agent since retiring in 2010 after two years with Stuttgart.
Lehman was part of Arsenal's so-called "Invincibles," who went undefeated during the 2003-2004 season to win the Premier League. Lehmann played a key role in Arsenal's FA Cup final penalty shootout win over Manchester United in 2005.
