MLS mobilizes aid for victims

[JAPAN RELIEF] MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, will launch a league-wide campaign to support the American andCanadian Red Cross disaster relief efforts following the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.
 
“On behalf of Major League Soccer and all of our clubs, I would like toexpress our deepest sympathy and extend our thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by the terrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan,” said MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
 
MLS fans will also have the opportunity to bid on autographed memorabilia at www.MLSsoccer.com/works. Fundsraised from the online auction will be donated to the Red Cross disaster relief fund.
