RSL-Monterrey game boosts local economy

Real Salt Lake -- and its Concacaf Champions League game against Monterrey -- is having an impact on local businesses in and around Sandy, Utah, home of Rio Tinto Stadium.

Wednesday's game pumped $2 million into the local economy, according to RSL spokesperson Trey Fitz-gerald. Tickets cost between $20 and $150 and parking was as high as $20.

"It impacts us greatly," said Chris Katsamevas, the owner of Crown Burger, two blocks south of the stadium. "It's probably the best thing we have around us."
