Vucetich's Midas touch continues

They don't call Victor Manuel Vucetich "el Rey Midas" for nothing. The 55-year-old coach won his 10th championship -- but first international title -- when he guided Monterrey to a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake and the Concacaf Champions League title with a 3-2 win on aggregate.

The Rayados were in the unusual position of being the underdogs against RSL after the 2-2 tie in the first leg, but Chilean Humberto Suazo came through again with the winning goal shortly before the end of the first half.

Vuce, who turned down the Mexican national team head coaching job last fall for personal reasons, remained unbeaten in finals, previously winning five First Division, two Second Division and two Copa Mexico championships.
