Injured stars high in Castrol Index

[MLS] Just how badly MLS has been hit by injuries is evidenced by MLS Castrol Index Top 10, the player rankings. Three of the top five players, all attacking players, are out indefinitely with injuries.

New York's Thierry Henry is first in the rankings, but he is followed by Steve Zakuani (Seattle) and David Ferreira (FC Dallas), who were both injured on challenges and face long injury layoffs.

Vancouver's Atiba Harris, who ranks No. 5, is also out with a knee injury.

keep allowing illegal hits on players, soon, all strikers will be out of the game...want to stop it?..sit the slob player out, fine his team a stiff penalty also, get skill back into the game, play non stop instead of having to add a lot of stoppage time for the "stretcher bearers" to carry off the "battle injured". I know, I sound like on a soap box, but, I really HATE sloppy players that take cheap shots on a player just to stop a goal, anything to win is NOT my motto. I keep repeating it, clean up the referees who allow this type of play...nothing bothers me more than to see a really great player get sidelined because of a sloppy tackle, in fact, no player should be taken out by sloppy play, mho...only way to stop it is eliminate the slobs...that play like slobs.
