Farcical free-kick trick play pays off (unfortunately)

[VIDEO PICK] A free kick just outside the penalty area apparently wasn't enough of a scoring opportunity for Arkansas' Bryant High School Hornets, who faked a collision of teammates to catch Conway High's defenders off guard.

While two Hornets pulled off the stunt, a third delivered the ball into the box for a close-range finish in a maneuver not exactly in the spirit of the game.

The Hornets won, 3-0, and, according to Bryant Daily, the theatrics were choreographed by Bryant coach Jason Hay, a Conway alum.

Would have been funnier if it didn't end up in a goal ...

What's the problem with the goal? Great idea. The other team should have watched the ball. You never stop play until the whistle blows.

As a Referee I would hope to have had the alertness to allow the goal and Caution all three of the 'kickers' for Unsporting Behavior. The method employed to score this goal had nothing to do with soccer but rather appeared as playground antics. A poor display of Sportsmanship- which is embodied to high school matches.
