[WEEKLY HONORS] Kyle Porter (FC Edmonton) and Jeff Attinella (FC Tampa Bay)
earned NASL Player of the Week awards, while Los Angeles Blues forward Chukwudi Chijindu was named the USL PRO Player of the Week.
Porter sparked FC Edmonton with both goals -- the second on a terrific individual effort in the 65th minute -- to lead the first-year club to a 2-1 comeback win over the NSC Minnesota Stars.
Porter, who spent time with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC residency program and Energie Cottbus reserve team in Germany, has now scored three goals to lead the team in that department.
Attinella earned his first career shutout in FC Tampa Bay’s victory over the Montreal Impact, making 11 saves in the 3-0 win. The University of South Florida product made seven of his saves in the second half.
Chijindu, who previously played for MLS's Chivas USA, scored twice and added an assist on Edwin Miranda's goal in the Blues' 3-0 victory against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
