North Texas cleans up in Region III finals

[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER] North Texas dominated the U.S. Youth Soccer Region III Championship in Murfreesboro, Tenn. taking six of the 12 titles. Three of those teams -- two boys and one girls -- are from the Dallas Texans, Sting took two girls championships and Solar Chelsea took a boys crown. The game of the regionals -- and surely the highest-scoring regional final in history -- took place between defending national champion Alpharetta Ambush and Tulsa Soccer Club in the U-1 8 boys final.

Tulsa came back from 3-0 down after 15 minutes to tie Ambush, 5-5, with two goals in the 90th minute. But the Georgia club scored four more goals in overtime -- three on Karl Chester’s hat trick -- to win 9-5.
