De Ro on the move again

[MLS] Dwayne De Rosario is on the move again. Only days after returning from the Gold Cup, where he played for Canada, De Ro was dealt to D.C. United for midfielder Dax McCarty.

The trade gives New York some salary relief as the summer transfer window is about to open.

De Rosario came from Toronto FC early in the season and he had two goals and four assists in 13 games.

D.C. United is the fourth club in less than a year for McCarty, coveted for his work as a holding midfielder.

He played for 2010 MLS runner-up FC Dallas and moved to the Portland Timbers in the expansion before being traded to D.C. United.

D.C. United needs help in midfield. Designated Player Branko Boskovic is injured and Brazilian Fred is headed to Melbourne Heart when Australia's transfer window opens.

United also acquired Brandon McDonald from the San Jose Earthquakes on Monday.
