After three seasons on the books at Spanish club Villarreal, U.S. national team striker Jozy Altidore is headed to Dutch club AZ, fourth in the 2010-11Eredivisie. Terms of the deal have not been announced, but sources told Yanks-Abroad that the transfer fee would be around $3 million and Altidore would sign a four-year deal.

“Nothinghas been signed yet,” Altidore’s agent Lyle Yorks said on Twitter on Friday. “All [is] to be completed next week in Holland.”

Altidore joined Villarreal from the New York Red Bulls in 2008 but never saw regular playing time at the Spanish club. He spent or part of his three seasons on loan, at Spanish Second Division clubXerez, England’s Hull City and Turkish team Bursaspor.
