[VIDEO PICK] U.S. Women's World Cup stars Hope Solo and Abby Wambach appeared on the "Late Show with David Letterman." They
gave the host a Soccer 101 lesson, Solo told a touching story about the reaction of Japan's Aya Miyama after the final, and then the U.S. pair shot balls at moving taxi cabs.
Miyama was Solo's teammate with the WPS's Saint Louis Athletica and Atlanta Beat and Solo explained that Miyama wasn't celebrating after Japan beat the Americans in the penalty kick tiebreaker.
"She wanted to show the Americans respect because she knew how much it hurt us," Solo said. "I had to tell her, 'Aya, you won the World Cup, the first time in your nation's history, celebrate please!"
