Plata scores twice to give Toronto win

[CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] Two goals by Joao Plata in the second half gave Toronto FC a 2-1 win over Real Esteli of
Nicaragua in the first leg of their Concacaf Champions League preliminary round series.
A goal by Alesandro Calero -- courtesy of a goalkeeping
blunder by Milos Kocic -- gave Real Esteli hope for the second leg, which will be played on Aug. 2.
Kocic was playing in place of the injured Stefan Frei.
